IEF is a 500 person company, which specializes in commercial construction management and fabrication. I was hired to design and implement new agile software systems, standalone apps and add-in to common user software.

Project Overview

By observing 40 designers work process, I discovered they were using many different software apps to create paper communications to fabrication shops.

Led team of 3 programmers to develop custom add ins and apps that removed repetitive tasks (or pain points)

Challenge

I was hired to study and make changes in the company culture and break old established habits by introducing new ideas.

Enforced a companywide removal of all paper documents and created all digitally

Goals

Developed custom add ins and mobile apps

Developed a standard naming and labeling convention to speed up production, which allowed for tracking in ERP and SAP procurement systems.

By stored these files in a cloud platform single Silo – to create one point of knowledge.

Designed apps that allowed all data to utilize Autodesk Cloud Service Forge
